Fundraiser for Communicare in Southampton by Communicare Southampton

We’re delighted to launch our 11th annual Tree of Light event - and this year we have three festive trees in different locations in the city! One of the beautiful pines in the Woolston Millennium Garden will be covered in hundreds of sponsored Christmas lights to commemorate loved ones and special causes, along with a stunning tree in the Mayor’s parlour, and also a beautiful tree at St Mark’s Church, Archer’s Road.

To donate, press the 'donate' button and then select 'other' on the right hand side of the donating amounts. This will allow you to input the amount you would like to donate - please don't think we are expecting £50 from you, which Facebook seems to be suggesting! Once you've donated, please either post on this fundraising page or private message us with your name and the name(s) you'd like to remember. This way we can ensure they go into the Daily Echo and our remembrance book.

You’re warmly invited to join us for the lighting up ceremony by The Mayor of Southampton at 4.30pm on Sat 7th Dec - please follow our website for more details on this ( We also have a light up event before this on Sun 1st Dec at St. Mark’s Church, Archers Road – switch on 5.30pm (there will be a child-friendly Christmas themed event from 4pm til 6pm, more info here On Wed 4th Dec is the launch event at The Mayor’s Parlour, Civic Centre – switch on 5.30pm (strictly ticketed event so please contact us if you’d like to attend – entertainment provided by Young People from Southampton Children’s Hospital)

We will send the names of those being remembered to the Daily Echo and also record them in our remembrance book. You may send photographs, short poems/verses or a tribute (1 per person) for inclusion in the book. Please send this by private message or drop them in to one of our offices by 6th December 2019. We will do our best to return any hard copies to you, provided you include a stamped and addressed envelope.

Thank you for donating towards our small charity, making a big difference.
