Encounter Youth service 

Encounter is a brand new service for young people, based in Thornhill, Southampton. We are not denominational nor are we linked to a specific youth-work (so we’re not here to poach teenagers from your youth group!). Our vision is to be a resource to the church and youth groups in this area and a hub which allows us to bring young people together to celebrate Jesus. We believe that God passionately longs to encounter young people in ways that will transform their lives and equip them to transform their churches and communities.
 
Our values are:
· Creating a community where every young person is welcomed and can encounter God
· Lively, creative, contemporary worship
· Relevant bible teaching
· Opportunities for the Holy Spirit to move, speak and heal
· Having fun (church was never meant to be something we endure!)
 
We would love you to join us. Encounter has been born out of a vision shared by members and leaders of the Baptist and Vineyard churches in Thornhill but we long to see a thriving community emerge including young people from every church and no church. We hope you will partner with us. Encounter takes place on the fourth Sunday evening of each month.
